Peace Baptist Ministries

1.  Associate Minister's Ministry:   This ministry is composed of clergy who are called of God and
who are spiritually born again believers in Christ Jesus.  The role of the associate minister is to
assist the pastor in the worship service(s) as well as provide assistance in making the pastor's
job easier and less burdensome.

2.  Deacon Ministry:   This ministry is composed of men who have been set apart for the purpose   
     of ministering to those who are in need.  These men aid the pastor in caring for the
congregation at large.  These men aid the pastor in holy communion, baptism, morning                
worship, prayer service, sick visitation, and other spiritual services.

3.  Trustee Ministry:   This Ministry is composed of spiritually mature men and women of the          
    church who aid the pastor in administering fiscal affairs of the church.  These persons are
selected by the church and serve a three year term.

4.  Deaconess Ministry:   This ministry is composed of spiritual women who have been trained to    
    aid the pastor in the performance of holy communion, baptism preparation, morning worship
and special services.

5.   Fine Arts Ministry:   This ministry is designed to lead the church worship through music.  The    
     music ministry consists of seven components:

(1) Combined Choir
(2) The Gospel Chorus
(3) The Male Chorus
(4) M.W. Burrell Angelic Voices
(5) The Peace Baptist Praise Team
(6) The Peace Baptist Praise Dancers
(7) The Peace Baptist Steppers

6.  Usher Ministry:   This ministry is designed to enhance the worship experience by providing an    
     orderly entrance, seating and exit of the sanctuary during worship.  This ministry is open to       
     members of the church who are willing to serve for the glory of God.  The Usher ministry is        
     composed of three components:  
(1) The Peace Baptist Ushers
(a) Senior Usher's Ministry
(b) Young Men and Women Ushers
(2) The Peace Baptist Youth Ushers
(3) The Peace Baptist Greeters
7.   Church School:   This ministry is designed to teach the scripture with an Emphasise and            
     evangelism.  The church school also is designed to further the Christian's knowledge of
the Word of God.  Those gifted with the gift of teaching should give prayerful consideration of
serving in this ministry.  The church school consists of four components:
(1) Adult Department
(2) Youth/Junior department
(3) Primary/Pre-School/Nursey Department
(4) Home Bound*

8.   Discipleship Ministry:   The ministry is designed to develop the believer through bible study      
     and other Bible related courses.  The intent of this ministry is to prepare Christians for the work
of the ministry.  The discipleship ministry also instructs the newcomer to Peace Baptist.                  
Those gifted in teaching should give prayerful consideration to serving in this ministry.

9.  Missionary Society:   This ministry is composed of the men and women of the church.  The        
     Missionary Society is designed to foster brotherhood through the devotional lessons, fellowship  
     and ministry.  This ministry consists of six components:

(1) General Mission
(2) The Matrons
(3) The Boys to Men Ministry
(4) Sister to Sister Ministry
(5) The Girls to Women Ministry
(6) Breaking The Huddle Ministry

10.  Brotherhood:  This ministry is composed of the men of the church.  The brotherhood is           
      designed to foster close relationship between the brothers of the church through bible study,    
      fellowship and ministry.  The brotherhood is to develop a comprehensive program for the         
      young men of the church.

11.  Children's Church:  The ministry is designed to provide a worship and study opportunity           
      designed especially for our young people.  A special curriculum covering:  church decorum,       
      bible skills, and life issues appropriate to their age level.  The youth are involved in bible        
      based discussions seeking to bring spiritual relevance to current issues.

12.  Kitchen Ministry:   This ministry provides  delights which enhance fellowship.  This ministry       
      when called upon provides meals to the elderly and those passing by in need.  This ministry
is need of persons who love the Lord and don't mind working hard.

13. Widow's Ministry:  The widow's ministry is designed to minister widows primarily of Peace          
      Baptist, but not exclusively.  This ministry seeks to provide an opportunity for widows to           
      gain strength through fellowship and a sundry of activities.

14. Bereavement Ministry:  This ministry is designed to come alone side families experiencing       
      bereavement.  These persons serve as a liaison between the church and the bereaved            
      family.  The Bereavement Ministry helps to plan the service program and follow-up after the     
      funeral.

15.  Media Ministry:  This ministry provides the church with audio recordings of worship services.      
       The ministry also shares recordings with the sick and shut-in.  This ministry is in need of         
       persons who don't mind working.

16.  The Peace Baptist Prayer Ministry:  This ministry is designed for members of this                   
       congregation to come together for special times of prayer.  Particular emphasis is placed on    
       prayers for the ministries of this church.  

17.  The Peace Baptist Technology Ministry:  This ministry is designed to recognize and affirm the  
      importance of multimedia and computer technologies within Peace Baptist.  Peace Missionary   
      Baptist Church (PMBC) has created its own web site at www.peacemissionarybaptistchurch.com   
      The WEB site will share information about PMBC with the world and provide an electronic           
      communication source to the Church congregation.

18.  The Prison Ministry:  This ministry is designed to provide effective ministry to members and     
      others who may be incarcerated.  This ministry provide a ministry of presence through             
      visitation as well as through written communication.

19.  Intercessory Prayer Ministry:  This ministry is composed of those who willingly pray for           
      others in the areas of spiritual growth, spiritual development, life crisis, salvation, and any       
      other prayer request.

20.  2 Timothy 2:15 Teaching Ministry:  This ministry is designed to give structure and guidance to  
       those who are part of or wish to be a part of the teaching ministry.

21.  Health And Wellness Ministry:  This ministry is designed to make aware our health                 
      consciousness as well as our spiritual consciousness.  It focuses on maintaining good health    
      through general information and maintenance of the body.

22.  Feeding and Clothing Ministry:  This ministry is composed of those who are willing to embrace   
      and practice our Lord's sermon on the mount.  Moreover, this ministry is about providing food  
      and clothes to people of the wider community who are  in need.

23.  Couples Ministry  This ministry is composed of married couples within our congregation who      
      seek develop stronger bonds within their marriage.  Didactic study sessions focusing on           
      marriage enrichment as well as social enrichment activities/programs are provided.

24.  Scholarship Ministry:  This Ministry is designed to award deserving youths of our church who     
       are involved in ministry and outreach as well as doing well in their academic work and extra     
       curricular activities.  These young people may be recommended for the Peace Baptist Church   
       Scholarship and/or awards

25.  Benevolent Ministry: This ministry is composed of spiritual men and women who have been     
      trained in the area of assisting members of our congregation and other individuals who need   
      assistance with their utilities, emergency shelter, food, clothing, etc.  These persons are           
      elected by the church to serve three year terms.

26.  One Church One Child:  This ministry serves as an outreach to place orphan children into          
       loving Christian homes.  Through this ministry adoption and foster care given to children         
       without homes.
